Create and implement an organization wide communications and policy advocacy strategy that supports the mission and priorities of the Ms. Foundation and elevates the priorities of over 80 grantee organizations, including the re-launch and management of the organization website, media and advocacy campaigns, and social media platforms • Write internal and external communications materials, including media pitches, grantee profiles, blog templates, newsletters, press releases and advisories, op-eds, grantee LTTEs, talking points, speeches and ad copy • Created and currently manage the #MyFeminismIs campaign including 42 interviews, 6 videos, t-shirt campaign, social media video campaign and cross-platform social media engagement campaign reaching over 135 million people • Develop and manage external relationships and partnerships with media, journalists, non-profits, supporters, celebrities, elected officials, and other stakeholders to increase engagement and expand the Ms. Foundation brand and voice

Designed and executed a comprehensive campaign plan that included communications, digital, fundraising, and field tactics with a vote goal of over 2 million and a budget of over 2 million • Led a statewide staff team of six paid direct reports, a statewide volunteer operation and six consultants • Developed and managed local, state and national relationships with the Democratic National Committee and Ohio Democratic Party leadership, local elected officials, non-profit and labor organizations • Pitched and coordinated both local and national media appearances including radio, television, and web based media outlets • Strategically prioritized nationally recognized political figure’s schedule including fundraising and public appearances


MomsRising.Org - WDC | Campaign Director – Healthcare/Paid Sick Days

Created online and offline campaign strategies to activate and engage MomsRising’s 1.5 million members about the Affordable Care Act, health related policies and local and national paid sick leave policies • Managed relationships with non-profit partners to increase engagement of mothers on healthcare outreach • Planned and assisted in developing strategic congressional deliveries to campaign targets to affect key legislative policies


Presidential Inaugural Committee – WDC | Associate Director - Volunteer Operations

December 2012 – January 2013

Created and managed implementation of the volunteer operations plan for the swearing-in ceremony, including the ingress and egress of over 850,000 attendees and the management of over 3,600 volunteers • Planned and facilitated briefings and trainings for senior management, staff, and 3,600+ volunteers regarding updates and the execution of the volunteer operations plan • Worked with other departments to achieve a working logistics plan, determine volunteer needs, communications structures and access requirements


Organizing for America - North Carolina | Southeast Regional Field Director

February 2012– November 2012

Oversaw field operations in six counties, managing thirteen field organizers and nineteen deputy field staff • Served as an official campaign spokesperson and point-of-contact for national surrogate visits in the Southeast Region • Coordinated local elected officials, local party members and grassroots leaders to build a cohesive grassroots infrastructure interacting with a combined population of 630,000 constituents • Planned and facilitated over 200 voter contact events including rallies, voter registration and GOTV events; registering over 20,000 voters
